Susan Wilger has over 25 years of experience as a program developer/manager, executive director, advocate and consultant with non-profit organizations and community coalitions. Her areas of expertise include program planning, implementation and evaluation; grant writing; organizational and coalition development; management systems (financial, data, human resources); and policy and advocacy work at the local, state and regional levels.
Her areas of interest include empowering rural and frontier communities to improve local conditions of health and well-being. Ms. Wilger received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin. She currently lives in the Mimbres Valley outside of Silver City, New Mexico where she supports local efforts to provide nutritious and affordable locally grown food.
