Sunny Yates is a founder of effective environments®, a national consulting firm which offers workshops, training and executive coaching to boost individual and organizational effectiveness.
She has a B.A. with honors in political science from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and a J.D., with highest honors, from the George Washington University National Law Center in Washington, D.C.
A former lawyer and a law professor for 10 years, Sunny also served for six years as a senior manager for The Global Hunger Project, where she directed volunteer training and development, U.S. community education and outreach programs, corporate fund-raising and event production. She has held numerous positions on nonprofit Boards of Directors.
Since 1994, Sunny has worked as a management consultant, through effective environments®, developing and offering programs that dramatically increase effectiveness and productivity both personally and at organizational levels. She specializes in working with service-oriented not-for-profit organizations.
With Gary Yates, a co-founder of the company, she has published more than 30 articles on subjects such as effectiveness, time management, project management, clutter management, and daily steps to productivity.
Her clients have included The Global Hunger Project, Robert Half International, the National Council of La Raza, and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley.
